Gravely Brown Ale

This English Brown Ale earned 36 points at the 1996 Novembeer Fest competition in Redmond Washington. It was brewed by Mark Quinn of Marysville, WA.

Gravely Brown Ale

recipe for 2.5 gallons

Malts:	6 lb.	English 2 row malt
	1 lb.	Victory malt
	8 oz. 	Special roast 50L
	8 oz.	Crystal 80
	5 oz.	Chocolate malt
	3 oz.	Roast barley

Hops:	1 oz.	Fuggles (AA = 4.5)     30 min.
	1/3 oz.	Spalt    5 min.

Also:	1 tsp. gypsum in mash
	1 tsp. Irish Moss    20 min.
Brewer's Notes:
Mash at 122F for 30 min. Raise to 158F for 90 min. Sparged to 3 gallons. Boiled for 30 min.. Bottle conditioned 1/4 cup dextrose to prime.

Novembeer Fest is an annual brewing competition put on by The Brews Brothers , the "Malting, Mashing, Sparging, Hopping, Barming, and Drinking Society of Greater Seattle." They host a great homebrewing competition every fall.
