Winter Festival (not Coors, nothing to do with Coors) Ale

Rob Radtke whipped this together to have a Fest beer available for a monthly club comptetition. It took first place. The judges talked about what kind of "fest" beer it was without coming to any real conclusion. Sometimes you just have to drink 'em without having a style.

10 Gallons

Malts:   14   lbs. Extra Light Malt Extract
          1.5 lbs. Chocolate Malt 350L
          2   oz.  Black Patent 500L
          1   lb.  CaraMunic Malt 65L
          2   lbs. Cara-Pils Dextrine 1.7L

Hops:     2 oz.    Centennial   10.3%A      60min.
          1 oz.    Saaz          3.9%A      30min.
          1 oz.    Tettnanger    5.8%A      10min.
          1 oz.    Saaz          3.9%A       2min.

Yeast:             Wyeast #1338, European Ale
Starting Gravity:  1.056
Final Gravity:     1.018
IBUs:              46
SRM:               65

Add 2tsp. Irish Moss in boil.
